The legal battle over the merger of the airports continues.

Today the civil court of Cagliari set the first hearing: on 29 August the lawyers of the parties involved (the Region and the companies Geasar and Sogeaal) will appear before the judge. Only after this meeting will the court decide on the request for suspension made by the pool of lawyers appointed by the regional council.

The decree setting the hearing explains that the merger deed, as specified in the disputed resolutions, will not produce effects before 26 September. So there is still time to decide whether or not to accept the request.

The hearing on the merits is instead scheduled for January.
