Another piece of the restyling that is modernizing the National Archaeological Museum “GA Sanna” in Sassari. This morning the new layout of the Raccordo Pavilion was presented, which collects about 300 finds from the Lower Paleolithic (over half a million years ago) to the Early Bronze Age (2 thousand years BC).
In the Prehistoric section, the imposing menhir statues found in the territory of Laconi and Nurallao stand out, thanks to which the Sanna Museum became part of the National Network of stele-menhir statue museums in 2022. There are also reproductions of the entrance to the Domus de Janas.
Large finds alternate with small finds (jewels, vases and statuettes) in a path that is not only chronological but also thematic and above all captivating for visitors.
The presentation was attended by the director of the Museum Elisabetta Grassi, the architect Giovanni Tortelli who curated the project with his studio Tortelli-Fassoni and Luciano Cannas, architect officer of the Regional Directorate of Museums of Sardinia.
