Writer, historian, journalist: Enrico Costa was a central figure in the history of Sassari and Sardinia in the 19th century. Suffice it to recall his historical novels such as “Il muto di Gallura” and “Giovanni Tolu. Story of a Sardinian bandit” without forgetting the fundamental work for the city, “Sassari” in six volumes.
Tomorrow at 6 pm the Historical Archive of Sassari in via dell'Insinuazione will inaugurate the cycle “Memorie Sassaresi. Memories and characters of a city to love", promoted by the Aristeo cultural circle together with the same historical archive and with the patronage of the Municipality of Sassari.
The short series of meetings intends to present the experience and profile of characters from the past through the testimony and contribution of authors, essayists and popularizers, drawing inspiration mainly from the column "Memories of Sassari" by the writer Manlio Brigaglia. Precisely in the room dedicated to the journalist, whose fifth anniversary of death is May 10, in this special first episode Stefania Bagella and Simonetta Castia of the Aristeo cultural circle, in collaboration with the head of the archive Carla Merella, will entertain fans by remembering Enrico Costa with the help of images, readings and a live narration.
