The vice-president of the Russian national security council, Dmitri Medvedev , enters the electoral campaign with a straight leg, stressing that "the votes of the voters are a powerful lever of influence".
"Of course - he continues -, we want peaceful cooperation, trade, exchanges and other things that are normal. But if the 'price for European democracy' is cold in apartments and empty refrigerators, this 'democracy' is for the mad" .
"That's why - he concludes - four European governments have already resigned in a short time . But this is clearly not the end. Voters' votes are a powerful lever of influence. So act, European neighbors! Do not remain silent. Call yours . idiots to account . And we will listen to you. The advantage is obvious: winter is much warmer and more comfortable in the company of Russia than in splendid isolation with the gas stove off ".

Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio replied immediately: "The interference of the Russian government in the Italian elections is really worrying. Medvedev intervenes again with a straight leg on domestic political issues, this time also giving an indication to vote. The political forces Italians to distance themselves clearly, without any shyness, from Russian propaganda ".
