Mediterranean Games: Tortu withdraws from the 200m final
The Italian sprinter has withdrawn due to physical problems. Italy wins gold and silver in sailing.

Italy secured a double victory in sailing - men's Iqfoil class - with Leonardo Tomasini taking gold and Federico Allan Pilloni silver at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto.
Meanwhile, news has arrived that Filippo Tortu has withdrawn: the Italian flag bearer at these Games will not be at the start of today's 200-meter final due to physical problems.
Tortu had struggled yesterday, finishing fourth in his heat, only making the final after a repechage.
The sprinter made his return to competition in Taranto after the injury that forced him to miss first the overall championships and then the 2026 European Championships.
