The countdown is on for Olbia's eagerly awaited May Day festival, which, after a two-year hiatus, celebrates its eleventh edition at a new seaside venue. Music takes center stage, with artists from all over Sardinia performing on the stage at Mario Cervo Park.

Hosted by journalist Antonella Brianda, the traditional musical marathon features singer-songwriter Chiara Effe, artist Manuella, the Purple Drip project, the Funky Jazz Orchestra, and the En Clave Jazz ensemble.

"The choice to turn to Sardinian names and bands has a dual purpose: a new beginning, in a new location, signifies a rebirth that is a rediscovery of origins and roots, and it is also a test to assess the park's capabilities and to begin building a new story," says Pietro Carta, president of the Eventi Frizzante cultural association, which organized the event.

May Day kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with activities that will continue throughout the day; the program is still being finalized. "The return of May Day to Olbia is an important sign for our entire community: events like this represent a moment of encounter, participation, and sharing, capable of uniting different generations through music and cultural activities," commented Councilor for Culture Sabrina Serra.
