Masters of Excellence Award, a recognition for Sardinian craftsmanship
The initiative is by Confartigianato and Loro Piana, with a sum up for grabs to invest in growing their businesses
Prizes for a total value of 30 thousand euros thanks to the inclusion of the island in the " Masters of Excellence Award ". Artisans from the textile, clothing, footwear, tailoring, eyewear, jewellery, leather goods, fashion and furniture product components and furnishing accessories sectors can participate. The tender, which can be consulted on the sardegnaimpresa website, is open until 15 May 2024.
Now in its second edition, the Award is conceived and organized by Confartigianato Imprese , in collaboration with Métiers d'Excellence LVMH and the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. The initiative aims to promote the creativity and high manufacturing quality of artisans operating in the luxury sectors.
Three categories competing . Master Craftsman of Excellence , dedicated to expert craftsmen who have distinguished themselves for the quality of their projects and their professional career, for their development strategy and the transmission of their know-how linked to the Italian tradition. The award is aimed at professionals and companies with at least 5 years' experience. Emerging Master Craftsman of Excellence , dedicated to emerging talents engaged in craftsmanship and with a promising project created at least in the 5 years prior to registering for the competition. Master of Innovation of Excellence , dedicated to companies and professionals who have distinguished themselves for their ability to innovate, preserving historical knowledge and skills and reinterpreting them in a modern key.
