There is no hurry, Cagliari evaluates. The January market must be fruitful, give way to the run-up to the first, perhaps even just to reinforce the playoff position which - given the quality of the workforce - can only be seen as a minimum objective.

Paulo Azzi, the left winger Ranieri was asking for from Modena, has shifted the club's attention for a few days to the central defender and the capable midfielder who, if necessary, can take on directing duties.

In midfield, the target now would be Martin Hongla, 24, from Verona who grew up in the cantera of Barcelona. The physical characteristics of the Cameroonian seem to coincide with the identikit designed by Ranieri to make up for the shortcomings highlighted up to now. But the competition from some Iberian clubs and from the Italian Serie A would be strong . Negotiations for the 22-year-old Frenchman from Turin Michel Adopo, and it would seem likely that for the 31-year-old Marcel Buchel from Ascoli, Liechtenstein international, who however is also of interest to Spal.

For defense, one of the main objectives would always be the thirty-year-old Gambian from Sampdoria Omar Colley, who has already worked profitably with Ranieri but also with admirers in Serie A. Together with Chiriches and Bianchetti from Cremona, on whom evaluations are underway.

Outgoing names are always the same: Viola (towards Reggina?), Millico (Spal?), Goldaniga (Cremonese?). In the next few hours, however, there could be a decisive acceleration to complete the team to launch the assault on the top flight.
