A celebratory album of 30 years of career , dedicated above all to traditional dances from all areas of the island .

"Brincu" is the single and title of Maria Giovanna Cherchi's latest album, inspired by the Baronia dance. The artist from Bolotana has chosen the community of Father Salvatore Morittu in S'Aspru (Siligo) to present her new work. The appointment is for Monday at 6 pm.

The album retraces the 30-year career of the artist from Bolotana with a series of songs that have marked the history of traditional music in Sardinia. Among these, a tribute to Maria Carta with Boghe' e riu , a Logudorese song with lyrics by Giovanni Maria Dettori and Maria Carta herself.

Three decades flown by like a leap, amidst joys, emotions, hard work and great satisfaction, spent in the squares of Sardinia, in theaters, in the numerous Sardinian clubs in Italy and abroad. Concerts, albums, prestigious collaborations, such as those with Mango and Fausto Leali. And extraordinary encounters like the one with Pope Francis.

Religious singing has always played a leading role in the choice of songs proposed by Maria Giovanna in her concerts. This will also be the case at “S'Aspru”, where there is an air of strong spirituality. To be shared with the young people of the community who are experiencing a condition of temporary difficulty and yet animated by great hope thanks to the incessant support of Father Salvatore Morittu.

" Bringing my music to the people has always been a privilege and it is even more so this year, with the new album that speaks of celebration ", says Maria Giovanna Cherchi. "I thank the Maria Carta Foundation that acted as an intermediary to give me the opportunity to meet the great S'Aspru family on my 30-year anniversary of career".
