There's a white that isn't the foam of the mistral wind, but that of marble. A compact, hard, ancient white. Eight thousand tons. They come from the Orosei quarries, bearing the noble name of Carrara white, but with a Sardinian heart, and from Arbatax they're about to set sail for Egypt.

Thus began, without fanfare but with the dull rumble of trucks, the new commercial life of the Port of Arbatax. A work cycle that will keep the port in full swing from now until December. Blue Sky Logistics is overseeing every movement. They are the silent directors of a complex operation: coordinating arrivals, storage, lifting, and loading. Over 250 trips. You see them arrive in line, dust on their sides, crates loaded with square blocks glistening in the sun. They unload them at the dock. "We are pleased with the launch of this new logistics chain, which represents a further step forward in the growth and diversification of commercial traffic at the Port of Arbatax. We would like to extend a special thank you to our client and to Quadrifoglio Marmi of Orosei, represented by the Buonfigli family, whose trust, availability, and collaboration have been crucial to the launch of this new transport cycle. "We also thank the companies Sardegna Marmi and Sardegna Stone, both from Orosei, who contributed to the operation by supplying additional quantities of marble, confirming the importance of collaboration between the various production companies in the quarrying district," said Pierpaolo Cualbu, Branch Manager, Blue Sky Logistics.

The port isn't just about marble. Clay for the ceramic and bulk cement industries is also moved here, and the hulls that speak to Arbatax's other side—the nautical side, the shipyards—are prepared . Marble, clay, and hulls. Three distinct supply chains finally coming together. "This first shipment of approximately 8,000 tons, destined for the Egyptian market, represents not only a significant operating result, but above all the opening of a new commercial opportunity for the port of Arbatax, with the prospect of developing further shipments and consolidating this new traffic over time. The operation," Cualbu added, "demonstrates how the Ogliastra port can serve as a logistical hub for manufacturing activities throughout Sardinia, generating new opportunities for Sardinian road haulage companies, port operators, and all the workers involved . Our goal is to continue expanding the port of Arbatax's operations, leveraging its potential and creating new economic and employment opportunities for the region."
