"A very short-lived law, which does not provide for the existence of the South and the Islands, nor of investment policies for the South".

This is the position on the national budget of the Sardinian Democratic Party parliamentarians Marco Meloni and Silvio Lai , who today illustrated the amendments to be presented in the Budget Committee.

Three in particular concerning insularity, energy and the Einstein telescope.

In the first, Meloni explains, we propose interventions to counter the insularity gap in a structural way, but also the establishment of a bicameral commission that deals permanently with the implementation of the principle just inserted in the Constitution. The proposed amendment provides for a budget of 100 million euros. As for energy, Lai noted that “all the discounts provided (up to 45%) do not apply to Sardinia. The amendment aims to provide answers on an industrial level also allowing companies in the Sulcis area to have a 45% discount”. The measure will cost 20 million against an energy fund of 4.4 billion. Finally, the Einstein Telescope: the Democratic Party proposes the establishment of a mission unit at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers because "the project will not go through the position taken by a mayor or the governor, but, being a large Italian research, through the Prime Minister".
