Maìa , the Vermentino di Gallura DOCG from the Siddùra winery, has won the 2026 Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri award, confirming its internationally recognized quality.

The prestigious guide that selects the best Italian wines, region by region, once again honors Vermentino: the icon of the Sardinian winery. Maìa, born from a philosophy that strives for extreme quality, is the winery's most awarded wine, produced with Vermentino grapes grown and processed in the Siddùra Valley.

The award, from Gambero Rosso, recognizes the quality of this Vermentino di Gallura Superiore, born from a careful selection of grapes and meticulous work in the cellar. This victory expresses a sense of satisfaction that, starting from Siddùra, extends to Gallura and the entire Sardinia region, increasingly recognized as a winemaking region of excellence.

The Vini d'Italia guide has been one of the most authoritative and influential in the world of wine since 1987. Each year, a jury composed of top wine experts tastes tens of thousands of products and awards scores in terms of glasses, up to a maximum of three, to signify the high quality of the wine reviewed.

" The Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri awarded to our Maìa ," comments Mattia Piludu, General Manager of Siddùra , " define the growing visibility of our Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, which helps drive the entire supply chain along a path that rewards the extreme quality and hard work of an entire sector. "

Listed among Italy's greatest white wines, and already considered the best Vermentino in Italy, Maìa is a testament to the increasingly sought-after quality of this grape variety, which, more than any other, is a key player in the national wine scene, enjoying significant international success as well.

The Gambero Rosso seal of excellence is the 146th award that Maìa has won.

" There are 146 thanks we want to extend to all those who have contributed to its success ," adds the winery's General Manager , " to the entire team that works at Siddùra and to the consumers, who believe in our products and in our project of producing high-quality wines ."

" Thanks to the consistently high quality demonstrated over the years, Maìa is increasingly appreciated in both national and international markets, " says Massimiliano Farci, Sales Director of Siddùra . " The recognized excellence of this wine has led to growing awareness among end consumers, generating a significant increase in demand, which the Siddùra winery is meeting with an increase in production ."

In Gallura dialect, Maìa means "magic." This magic is what Gallura, a rugged and authentic land in northern Sardinia, manages to transform into wine: visceral, profound, uncompromising. With these characteristics, Maìa has won some of the most prestigious awards in the world of winemaking. Among these, in 2023, was the title of best Vermentino in Italy at the 30th edition of the competition held in Diano Castello, Liguria.

“A Vermentino that tastes of Gallura,” as the company likes to emphasize: the grapes come from vineyards located at 300 meters above sea level, on granite-weathered soils and in an ideal microclimate.

A terroir that leaves an indelible mark in the glass.

A multiple Gambero Rosso Tre Bicchieri winner, Maìa also enchanted international palates in 2025 alone, taking first place overall in Decanter's Vermentino panel. On that occasion, the white wine from Siddùra winery blew away the competition, outshining 83 labels from Sardinia and Tuscany.

Also this year, at the Decanter World Wine Awards , the Vermentino di Gallura Maìa won the platinum medal with 97 points.

An extraordinary achievement that, along with Maìa, establishes Vermentino di Gallura as a leading player on the international wine scene.
