With “Le cose non dette” Mahmood won the 2026 Nastro d'argento for Best Original Song.
The award, received for the iconic song from the soundtrack of Gabriele Muccino's film of the same name, composed by the Milanese singer, born Alessandro Mahmoud, in collaboration with Marcello Grilli and Paolo Buonvino, will be presented this evening at the Teatro Argentina in Rome during the awards ceremony.
In the 80th edition of the prestigious award promoted by Film Journalists, there's also room for Sardinia. And it's not just Mahmood. In addition to the two-time winner of the Sanremo Music Festival, of Sardinian descent on his mother's side, originally from Orosei, the island is also celebrating the Nastro d'Argento for Best Comedy, won by "Life Goes This Way," Riccardo Milani's film inspired by the true story of shepherd Ovidio Marras, who prevented the construction of a luxury resort a few meters from the sea, between Tuerredda and Capo Malfatano, by refusing to sell his land; the cast includes Geppi Cucciari, Jacopo Cullin, and Massimiliano Medda.
