The curtain opened promptly, at 9pm on Thursday evening. A huge crowd for what is defined by all, without distinction, as a historic day. After seven years, the "Costantino" cinema-theater was reopened, thanks to an agreement between the Municipality and the owners of the historic venue, which grants its free use to host the great prose, music and dance, organized by Cedac, the multidisciplinary circuit of live entertainment in Sardinia.

Yesterday evening there was therefore a full house, around 400 seats, with people also coming from Nuoro, Sassari and Oristano, but above all from Macomer and surrounding towns, up to Bosa, Ghilarza, Pozzomaggiore and Bonorva. A great return to that room, considered the cultural garrison of the territory, which the owners (the Barria family) wanted to reopen, thanks to an agreement with the Municipality.

«A historic day - comments the mayor, Riccardo Uda - with our town reclaiming an important venue, a great container of culture, which is the Costantino theatre. For this I would like to thank the owners, on behalf of the entire citizenry." The councilor for culture, Fabiana Cugusi, adds: «Here we go again. A great emotion and happy with this team victory." Rita Atzori, majority municipal councilor, Cedac collaborator, talks about these days. «We filled all the available places, but there were so many requests, more than double, that we had to reject. The theater has returned to its designated place, to the right container for great cultural content."

Last night the curtain reopened with a funny comedy written and directed by Edoardo Erba, "The invisible husband", starring Maria Amelia Monti and Marina Massironi. Twelve events are on the programme, from November to May, with leading names on the Italian scene, including brilliant comedies and captivating monologues, mythological digressions and exciting concerts. All in a venue that has once again become a point of reference for culture in central Sardinia.
