The Longevity Fest is back. And it does so with great fanfare, in Porto Cervo , with a new formula and the Longevity Award , which rewards Mogol .

This year, the festival conceived and directed by Pietro Mereu and promoted by the Consorzio Costa Smeralda will shine a spotlight on the lifestyle of Sardinia and Costa Rica , among the most significant Blue Zones in the world, where people live longer . The third edition will take place over two evenings: it starts today at 7 pm in the Piazzetta della Marina with the screening of the documentary “Kentannos – Pura Vida” by Victor Cruz.

This will be followed by a talk show on the topic of Sardinia and Costa Rica, moderated by Mereu, with the participation of experts such as Eleonora Cozzella, Jorge Vindas, Laura Vindas, Alessandra Nieddu, Gianni Pes and Giovanni Scapagnini. The evening will close with a speech by chef Maria Carta, originally from Seulo, a town in the Blue Zone, who in collaboration with Insula Sardinia and chef Ester Loru Ramirez Gomez will talk about the “longevity experience” created for the occasion with Sardinian and Costa Rican influences.

Tomorrow the festival will move to the Piazzetta in Porto Cervo, where at 7 pm, after the awarding of the first Longevity Award to 88-year-old Giulio Rapetti, aka Mogol, the famous lyricist and record producer, one of the most representative Italian authors of musical lyrics, the singer and actress Ambra Pintore will host the panel “How do you become a Blue Zone?”, featuring the screening of the documentary “Arzachentos” on the long-lived people of Arzachena directed by Mereu.
