Sardinia's longevity and centenarians protagonists in Cagliari in five days of events.

The Ogliastra Eventi association is promoting the event in the spaces of the Manifattura Tabacchi, from 12 to 16 December, with the contribution of the Tourism Department of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia.

Debates, talks, cooking and food processing workshops, film screenings in the presence of important speakers, among which the journalist and gastronome Edoardo Raspelli stands out.

“One Hundred Years Together! Days of experiential tourism among the secrets of longevity”, this is the name of the event, a cultural event aimed at promoting the healthy and active lifestyle that has characterized the towns of the Blue Zone of Sardinia for centuries , made famous internationally by the exceptional longevity of their inhabitants.

It starts on Monday 12, December, at 4.30 pm (events room, courtyard 2, floor 1) with the conference entitled: "Life style of long life". After the institutional greetings of Gianni Chessa (Regional Councilor for Tourism), Gian Battista Usai (ITS Blue Zone Foundation), Grazia Fenu Pintori (Department of Biomedical Sciences Uni. SS), Germano Orrù (Department of Surgical Sciences Uni.CA), Edoardo Raspelli (Journalist, "gastronomy reporter", TV host), Flavio Cabitza (Association for the protection and identity of Ogliastra and Barbagia di Seulo), Luca Saba (Coldiretti), Massimo Masia (Insula, agrifood and marketing division CIPNES ) and Luigi Cau (Sardinia Wine Tourism Network) and the director Pietro Mereu (author of the film “The club of the centenarians).

On 13 December, from 4 to 7 pm (events room, courtyard 2, floor 1), it is the turn of the Longevity Workshop entitled "Long life foods: fresh pasta and casu axedu", curated by chef Piergiorgio Cardia . At 7 pm the in-depth talk with Graziano di Paola (President of the scientific committee of the Blue Zone Foundation), Giuseppe Loi (Villagrande hams) and Romolo Eucalitto (Photographer).

On 15 December, at 18:00 (events room, courtyard 2, floor 1), a screening of the film IL CLUB DEI CENTENARI is scheduled with the presence of director Pietro Mereu who will dialogue with the public.

On 16 December, from 16:00 to 19:00, the second of the longevity workshops dedicated to long-life foods with honey as the protagonist. At the same time, during the workshop, numerous films on the theme of longevity in Ogliastra will be screened.
