After a few years of absence, also due to the coronavirus pandemic, Nughedu San Nicolò, the center of Monte Acuto administered by the mayor Michele Carboni, has returned to the protagonist of the improvised poetry of Logudorese, whose first competition was held in nearby Ozieri in 1896.
An event that, hopefully, can be celebrated every year in the country that gave birth to the famous writer Francesco "Cicitu" Masala.
Yesterday the protagonists of the evening, which took place in the premises of the former cinema, were the poets Bruno Agus from Irgoli, but born in Gairo, Dionigi Bitti from Oliena, one of the most requested young people in the competitions, and Salvatore Ladu from Sarule. To accompany them the tenor "Santu Juanne" from Pattada.
The three gave life to almost three hours of competition, which began with the debut and followed with the two themes. Following the duinas, the batorinas and the final sonnet, where the town of Nughedu San Nicolò was paid homage.
In the end, the organizers expressed great satisfaction with the success of the event, which was attended by more than two hundred people.
