In 2021 in Sardinia there was an increase in the number of loans requested by companies from credit institutions: + 0.4% compared to the previous year. A figure that goes against the trend when compared to the national one, which instead marks a -14.5%.

This was revealed by the latest edition of the Crif Barometer, based on the information assets of Eurisc, the Credit Information System managed by Crif, a company specializing in credit information and business information systems.

At the provincial level, requests showed more significant growth in Nuoro, Sassari and Oristano, respectively equal to + 8.9%, + 8.1% and + 4.8%. On the contrary, there is a decrease in the provinces of Southern Sardinia, with -1%, in Ogliastra (-6.2%) and Cagliari (-8.6%).

As regards the average amount of loans requested by companies, with 66,895 euros Sardinia is well below the national average (105,109 euros). This could be linked to the particular entrepreneurial fabric of the island and to the preponderance of requests from small and very small companies.

The highest value is recorded in Sassari, with 75,831 euros, followed by Cagliari, with 74,329, Oristano, with 58,100, and from Southern Sardinia, with 55,511.

Finally, Ogliastra, with € 41,721, is in the last absolute place in the national ranking.
