Important recognition for the Sardinia Region on the occasion of the twelfth edition of the 'Living with Zero Waste' Award sponsored, among others, by the Ministry of the Environment, the European Commission and Rai.
The organizers wanted to reward the work carried out by the working group composed of representatives of the Department of Agriculture and the agencies Laore and Agris and by the numerous spontaneous committees present throughout the regional territory, which has implemented numerous initiatives financed by the Region and by Masaf (Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies) aimed at the recovery, conservation and economic valorization of the biodiversity present in Sardinia both in the agricultural and livestock sectors.
"It is a new recognition of the great attention that the Sardinian agricultural world dedicates to the sustainability of production activity", commented the Councilor for Agriculture, Gian Franco Satta.
"These awards help to strengthen the image of Sardinian agriculture that is attentive to its relationship with consumers and to environmental protection . We are consolidating our commitment to agrobiodiversity also through two specific interventions by the CSR (Rural Development Complement) - concluded Councilor Satta - to give even greater value to the role of the breeder and the farmer as 'guardian' of the extraordinary biodiversity of Sardinia ".
