«US Salernitana 1919 announces that it has reached an agreement with Mr. Fabio Liverani and that it has entrusted him with the technical guidance of the first team».

This was announced by the Campania club, with the last team in the standings at just 13 points.

Liverani, formerly of Cagliari, takes over from Filippo Inzaghi, who was sacked after the home defeat against Empoli, and is Salernitana's third coach since the start of the season. It will be presented to the city tomorrow.
