Five years old and eager to sing: little Ambra Cau from Capoterra will represent Sardinia at the 68th edition of Zecchino d'Oro, taking place from November 28th to 30th at the Antoniano in Bologna. The little girl, accompanied by her parents Giacomo Cau and Sonia Erriu, will perform live on Rai 1 with the song "Disco," written and set to music by Andrea Agresti. The little girl from Capoterra, undaunted by the weight of performing in front of a large audience, will be the island's flagship in an edition featuring contestants from ten Italian regions.

The program will be broadcast live on Rai's flagship network   with the first two episodes on Friday from 5.05pm to 6.40pm , and Saturday from 5.10pm to 6.40pm. The final episode will air on Sunday from 5.20pm to 6.40pm.   The final will decide the winning song from the fourteen competing entries. The semifinals will be hosted by comedian-songwriter Lorenzo Baglioni and Carolina Benvenga, a star of children's music programs. The final, as usual, will be hosted by Carlo Conti, artistic director of the song contest that has enthralled children, parents, and grandparents for nearly seventy years.

The 14 new songs in the 68th edition of Zecchino d'oro are written by 28 authors, including children's music experts, actors, teachers, writers, producers, and great artists, including Stefano Accorsi, Andrea Agresti, Enrico Nigiotti, and Giuliano Sangiorgi. Twenty young singers from Calabria, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Marche, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany, and Veneto will perform the competing songs live. Accompanying the young singers, as per tradition, will be the Piccolo Coro dell'Antoniano, directed by Margherita Gamberini.

Also this year the Zecchino d'Oro supports   Operation Bread, Antoniano's campaign, supported by Rai per la Sostenibilità, aims to raise funds for the 20 Franciscan soup kitchens in Italy and the five active ones around the world: one in Syria, three in Ukraine, and one in Romania. The 2025 edition of the singing competition is also titled "Music Can" and aims to continue celebrating everything music has generated over the years, including through the songs of the Zecchino d'Oro, the country's cultural heritage thanks to Antoniano, a world-renowned institution: music can.   to entertain, can   educate and at Antoniano can offer support to the most vulnerable people.

Meanwhile, in Capoterra, anticipation is growing to see little Ambra live on TV, where she'll be able to count on the warmth of her family, as well as her fellow citizens.
