Regional elections, polls closed in Liguria.
According to the first projection of the Opinio Italia consortium for Rai, in Liguria the center-right candidate Marco Bucci is in the lead with 49.8%, while the center-left candidate, Andrea Orlando, has 46.5% . The left-wing candidate Nicola Morra is given at 0.9%. The first projection by Swg, broadcast by La7, is similar.
Once the counting had begun, however, the gap narrowed and the reversal continued: with over half of the sections counted (out of 1785) Orlando was at 48.47% and Bucci at 47.6%.
The turnout is sharply down: according to data from the Eligendo portal of the Ministry of the Interior, 45.96% of those entitled to vote voted, down from 53.42% in the previous election in 2020.
