«Ready to reiterate our favorable position in the primaries ». Thus the independentists of Liberu in view of participation, tomorrow, in the third meeting of the center-left table, another step towards the 2024 regional elections in which they will participate with their own list.
As for the different options envisaged on one side by the Pd and on the other by the M5S, the independentists specify their full support for the primaries «because we believe that it is a decisive democratic issue, a strong signal that we want to send to the Sardinian citizens to make them participate in the crucial decisions in a fertile period for abstentionism. Our hope is to awaken consciences after decades of democratic torpor, unleash political passion in those who have never had it and return it to those who have lost it due to constant disappointments, disillusionments and pessimism, towards a truly virtuous management of public thing."

«The 2024 regional elections must be, in our opinion, the starting point for the construction of a new political process for Sardinia and its inhabitants – they add from Liberu – which is finally inclusive, engaging and emancipatory, to ensure that the future and development of Sardinia are never again written under dictation, but autonomously expressed. For this reason, the choice of the presidential candidate should be shared with the voters as much as possible. In this sense, the chosen presidential candidate will therefore only have to respect the program and all the points decided by the table. A presidential candidate who will have to answer in the future not only to those parties who were in favor of his appointment, but to everyone without distinction."

«We are instead opposed - the clarification - to a choice of candidate for president that comes from electoral decisions and agreements prepared outside the table and which are far from the objective of giving Sardinians back the choice over their present and future. For this reason, we will once again bring to the table our favorable position towards the primaries, and in this context we positively welcome the availability publicly expressed by President Renato Soru, who has already expressed himself in favor of this democratic method and we hope for other positions taken in this sense also on the part of other exponents. Instead, we think that the methodology of formulating candidatures that are the result of agreements between a few, outside of democratic discussion and far from our land is not useful for the growth of the overall project."
