In an age of fleeting, fleeting images flashing from large and, especially, small screens (cell phones), live performances still retain all their magic. Even more so when the performers are great artists unleashing their enchantment on stage. Audiences at the Teatro Comunale in Sassari were captivated by the international show " Les Étoiles ," a fitting closing night of the " Corpi in Movimento 2025 " festival organized by Danzeventi.
The protagonist is Anbeta Toromani , launched by the talent show "Amici" and become a prima ballerina in numerous international and Italian theaters, from the National Theater of Tirana to the San Carlo in Naples, from the Teatro Massimo Vittorio Emanuele in Palermo to the Sferisterio in Macerata. "Let's go back to the theaters, let's go back to the theaters to see dance and any art form, because we need beauty and to experience it live," urged the dancer who, together with her partner in art and life Alessandro Macario, performed Ivanenko's "Invincible Grace " and Amodio's "Romeo and Juliet" to thunderous applause. "I've done everything I can to popularize classical dance as much as possible. "Amici" has certainly helped bring young people back to the art of dance, but on TV, all you have to do is channel-switch. I hope that audiences will also return to the theater, to the cinemas, to the theaters, wherever they choose to go, where the curtain opens, you can feel the artists' emotions, the people's expectations, there's an energy that arrives, is exchanged, it's like feeding on beautiful things."
The prestigious Daniele Cipriani Entertainment production, under the artistic direction of Anna Lea Antolini, also brought to the stage the complete version of “ Le Corsaire ” by Marius Pepita, with Maria Celeste Losa and Mattia Semperboni, principal dancers at La Scala in Milan, who mastered a refined technique combining energy and grace.
Interpreting the candor of the White Swan and the magnetic seduction of the Black Swan were David Motta Soares of the Staatballet Berlin and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and Liudmila Konovalova of the Wiener Staatballet, who treated the audience to the most famous excerpts from “Swan Lake” in the choreography by Ivanov and Petipa to the music of Tchaikovsky.
Matteo Miccini , principal dancer in Stuttgart, who performed a spectacular “Kiss a crow” by Goecke and then the seductive pas de deux “Daydreamers” with Diana Georgia Ionescu of the Stuttgart Ballet.
