Group C of Serie C is shaken by the economic situation that could lead to the exclusion of Taranto and Turris from the championship. Stefano Udassi, president of Torres and advisor to Lega Pro warns: «These situations damage the image of our championship, but there are also virtuous companies that guarantee continuity every day. The governance of Lega Pro in recent years has achieved excellent results. I am pleased that the Minister of Sport Andrea Abodi has also recognized this, certifying everyone's trust in president Matteo Marani. And it cannot be otherwise, given the results obtained in these two and a half years of mandate».
Udassi gets to the heart of the problem: «The difficult situations that have arisen and that concern the clubs are part of dynamics that are not always predictable, despite the checks currently carried out. We need more severe reforms and more accurate checks to ensure that certain situations and dynamics do not arise, especially during the registration phase . Without a doubt, Serie C is part of a much broader system and problems that certainly do not only concern our championship. For this reason, a reform of the rules that can provide more certainty and guarantees to everyone is urgently needed. It is the task of President Gabriele Gravina to provide the football system with stability and sustainability».
The top rossoblù executive is against the reduction of teams in Serie C: «I don't think that in the past it has led to positive results . A priority reform and strongly desired by the governance, which has certainly given and will give a decisive signal, is the Zola Reform: it will enhance young people and reduce costs making our system more sustainable. For this reason I hope, and wish, that all colleagues and presidents do not underestimate this aspect and commit themselves for the good and the future of the football system».
