Alghero airport would be the most exposed to a possible withdrawal of Ryanair. For this reason, the group leaders of the League in the municipal councils of Alghero, Olbia and Cagliari, have signed an urgent motion for the abolition of the boarding tax.
Michele Pais, Alberto Zedde and Alessandra Zedda believe that a departure from the low-cost company would have very serious repercussions from both an economic and social point of view.
"The municipal surcharge today is an unsustainable tax not only for low-cost companies but also for airlines that operate routes under a territorial continuity regime", the city councilors continue.
«As an autonomous Region we have the possibility of completely eliminating this useless tax, without any particular costs for the Region, following the example of Friuli Venezia Giulia Abruzzo and Calabria, which had no hesitation in eliminating it, both for low cost companies and for companies operating under a territorial continuity regime».
