The elegance of her ways is the same that is found in her writing: Laura Ephrikian presented today in Cagliari, in via Tuveri, in the Boscolo hall, guest of the National Research Council, her book "An Armenian family", an analysis insight into the Armenian genocide in 1915 by the Young Turk political movement.

To accompany her in this, the journalists Carlo Figari and Maria Francesca Chiappe together with Professor Francesco Casula. Actress, presenter, writer and for many years the wife of Gianni Morandi, Laura Ephrikian returns to Sardinia, an island that has been close to her heart since she came for the first time in 1969, precisely with Morandi. « Those were splendid days, we had the opportunity to enjoy the Sardinian sea when it wasn't crowded yet ».

The emotion shines through his eyes, especially when he remembers his grandfather Akop. «He managed to escape before the genocide of 1915, he told my father that the Young Turks burned down his house before being able to walk to Istanbul and embark: it was a moment that marked him in a particular way, being among other things very young » .

Among the many future projects , the focus not only on Armenia but also on Africa stands out. «Talking about Armenia is essential, especially in a period like this where we find a president of Turkey such as Erdogan. Furthermore, I have been going to Kenya for thirty years: the situation in Africa is dramatic, we need to focus more on this and encourage the care of children, because hope for the future lies precisely in them».
