"Chisginedda" was staged for the first time on 8 January 2012 at the Primo Longobardo theater and it was a success, the first time like the numerous replicas. It has been announced in these days that the "La Compagnia di Teatro Popolare" has started rehearsals for "Chisginedda, the return". Urged and encouraged by the events delegate, Stefano Cossu, who made the rooms of the Ilva Magazzini available for rehearsals, the company resumed with the interpretation of the new dialectal text - this like the previous one written by Giorgio Acciaro - rigorously written (and recited) in “isulanu-gallurese”.

Chisginedda, the name of the brilliant protagonist, comes from chisgina, ash, or Cinderella, whose story the author placed, in the first performance, in the post-war Maddalena environment and will continue in the same environment now. Compared to 2012, two important people have passed away, the director Graziella D'Angelo and the indefatigable Tonino Scanu (father of the singer Valerio Scanu).

«We started rehearsing a month before Tonino fell ill and saw him on stage once again», says Giorgio Acciaro, who in addition to being an author is now also the director. So we start again, with the same enthusiasm, despite everything, with Massimo Piras, Annalisa Pes, Massimo Tucci, Michela Zedde, Elisabetta Murgia, Lino Sorba, Laura Pirredda, Paolo Doneddu, Antonella Rosiglione. «It will be a way to bring even the youngest closer to this world that has always been part of our history and culture», underlines the delegate Stefano Cossu.
