Concorezzo (MB), October 2, 2025 – The celebrations for KSB Italia 's centenary continue. Following the celebrations held in Concorezzo (MB), an event dedicated to employees and families of the service center in Assemini (CA) was held on September 13, 2025. The SupremeServ team in Italy comprises approximately 160 professionals, engaged daily in repairs, maintenance, assistance, and commissioning of pumps, valves, and accessories. The service centers are located throughout the country, with approximately 20 employees working in the Assemini (CA) center.

The evening was attended by approximately forty people, including CEO Peter Weber and Managing Director Riccardo Vincenti . Management wished to share this significant corporate milestone with everyone in attendance. The evening was enlivened by live music and recreational activities, while the younger guests enjoyed games and pastimes. It was a significant opportunity to jointly commemorate the successes achieved over these hundred years of history and to consolidate the spirit of collaboration that has always distinguished the KSB Group.

KSB has been present in Italy since 1925, the year in which "Società Italiana Pompe Klein" was founded, the first foreign subsidiary of the KSB Group, with headquarters at Via Principe Umberto 28 in Milan and a workshop at Via Moscova 39. Today, the company is known as KSB Italia SpA and is celebrating its centenary. At the time of its founding, the subsidiary represented the first international presence of the German company "Frankenthaler Maschinen- & Armatur-Fabrik Klein, Schanzlin & Becker."

The business in Italy expanded rapidly, with an initial move to Via Settembrini in Milan, followed by a second move to the Milan Precotto area. In 1929, the company name was changed to "Anonima Lombarda Costruzione Pompe."

The KSB pump recently discovered and restored at the Concorezzo (MB) plant dates back to 1929: a reciprocating piston pump installed in Tovo San Giacomo (SV). Purchased that same year, it was installed near the Maremola stream to supply a four-kilometer aqueduct, intended to bring water to the agricultural crops of the Il Poggio hamlet via two collection tanks.

In 1930, water transport officially began, and KSB was recognized by the relevant ministries as a supplier in public tenders, contributing to the creation of the first national aqueducts equipped with KSB pumps. The pump operated continuously until 1995, a testament to the machine's efficiency and robustness. The pump remains completely original today and was restored and exhibited this year at the KSB Italia SpA headquarters in Concorezzo (MB), symbolizing the company's history and product quality.

A century after its founding, KSB Italia remains a leader in the fluid transport sector, producing pumps and valves. Over the years, its products have evolved, becoming increasingly efficient and sustainable, thus contributing to a reduced environmental impact. Since 1925, the company has represented the interests of the KSB Group in Italy, founded in 1871 in Germany (154 years ago), establishing itself as a leading supplier of pumps, valves, and innovative fluid transport systems. The Group currently has 39 production facilities in 17 countries worldwide, 190 service centers, and approximately 16,000 employees. In Italy, the operational headquarters are in Concorezzo (MB), and the company has a widespread presence throughout the country thanks to service centers, sales agencies, and technical assistance centers.

THE STORY

In the 1950s, the Milan Precotto plant updated its machinery with advanced technologies, reducing costs and improving product quality. A significant portion of production was exported to the German company Klein, Schanzlin & Becker AG, which entrusted the Italian plant with the production of several pumps distributed globally. KSB products also accompanied the country's growth in the 1960s and 1980s. In the 1990s, the company began moving to Concorezzo (MB), completing the move in 2004, where it had the necessary space for warehouses and a workshop. These were years of significant growth and significant orders, not only in financial terms. Today, KSB Italia SpA is present throughout the country with five strategically distributed service centers : Concorezzo (MB), Scorzè (VE), Paliano (FR), Statte (TA), and Assemini (CA). The company accelerated its growth, particularly in the petrochemical, industrial, and industrial maintenance sectors. This service provides the KSB Group's expertise in pump and valve overhauls and a wide range of mechanical machining operations. This service stands out for its versatility and the ability to customize interventions to the customer's needs, always respecting agreed-upon deadlines.

The company is known for having contributed its products to historic undertakings such as the salvage of the sunken Costa Concordia cruise ship and the supply of valves for Italy's tallest skyscraper , the Bosco Verticale in Milan. Its products have also been used in landmarks such as the Teatro alla Scala in Milan , the Villa Reale in Monza , and the air conditioning systems of the Palazzo Grassi in Venice . In 2020, KSB contributed products to the construction of a pediatric hospital in Uganda, designed by architect Renzo Piano for Emergency.
