Roger Federer greets tennis with a defeat .

A defeat that, however, does not scratch the marvelous career of the Swiss champion, the undisputed king of the racket of recent years, by a whisker.

To close, Federer played doubles in London, with his long-time rival, Rafa Nadal , a match valid for Lever Cup , against the American couple composed of Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe .

Winners in the first set, Roger and Rafa were then beaten by the Americans, who won the third set 11-9 at the super tie-break.

Then the tribute to Federer, with a long greeting in the center of the field where Roger, in tears , received the embrace of all his teammates, opponents and the public .

“It was a fantastic party , I hoped it was like that”, the Swiss champion commented.
