Kim Kardashian at the forefront of helping Afghan women.

The influencer and model as well as entrepreneur and star of US reality shows has in fact decided to finance a flight to allow 130 footballers to leave the country back in the hands of the Taliban last summer.

The Taliban regime, once in power, banned women from practicing sports, the latest in a series of harassment imposed on the female population.

An international group of sports clubs and NGOs for the protection of human rights immediately mobilized to try to evacuate as many athletes as possible, together with their families.

Kardashian was also contacted to raise funds and immediately agreed to support the project, financing the flight. The New York rabbi, Moshe Margaretten, also participated in the operation, who said: "Maybe an hour later, after the call on Zoom, I received a message in which Kim told me he wanted to finance the entire flight."

The project also had the collaboration of Leeds, an English Premier League club owned by the Italian entrepreneur Andrea Radrizzani. And it was in Great Britain, in London, that the players arrived once they left Kabul.

Now they will have to start the quarantine period for Covid. Then they can start a new life.
