Sardinia triumphs at the canoe-kayak world championships in Duisburg (Germany) with the gold medal won by Viktoryia Pistis Shablova , in the 200m class VL1 specialty.
The athlete from the Cagliari section, trained by coach Marco Frau , already European champion in the discipline , climbed to the top step of the podium. "It is a great success for the capital and the whole of Sardinia", commented the president of the municipal council Edoardo Tocco , a member of the Naval League of Cagliari.
«She carried up – continues Tocco – the flag of the four Moors, confirming herself as one of the athletes of excellence of the naval League of the capital». Pistis Shablova will soon be received at the Town Hall for the customary congratulations .
