Two-time Oscar winner and composer of unforgettable soundtracks, Gustavo Santaolalla, is the headliner of the new edition of the Karel Music Expo: on October 23rd, the great internationally renowned composer will perform at Cagliari's Teatro Massimo. This key moment for the Expo is divided into two segments: the first will take place from September 4th to 6th at the Lazzaretto di Sant'Elia, and the second, from October 23rd to November 10th, will take place between the B Flat and the Teatro Massimo.

Santaolalla is a real coup for Davide Catinari, who is again this year's artistic director of the festival, now in its nineteenth year. For those who don't know, Maestro Santaolalla (Argentine, born in 1951) is not only one of the greats of Hispanic rock—a two-time Grammy Award winner—but also boasts two consecutive Oscars for the music for the films "Brokeback Mountain" and "Babel," and who could forget the soundtrack to the great film "The Motorcycle Diaries," which earned him a BAFTA Award in 2004. This is an unmissable opportunity for the public, who can also enjoy the first three days of the Karel Music Expo from September 4th to 6th.
