Five young people from Turrita between the ages of 18 and 25 will be able to participate in the "Reminder Auschwitz Sardinia 2023" project, funded by the Municipality of Porto Torres and managed by the Arci Sardinia Association in cooperation with the "Deina" Association. Promemoria Auschwitz is a European citizenship education project designed to accompany the younger generations in the discovery and understanding of the complexity of the world around us starting from the past and its narratives, so that they can acquire the critical spirit necessary to be protagonists as citizens in the here I'm.

The goal is to educate to a participation that is free, critical and aware, proposing a structured path capable of nurturing a continuous relationship between history, memory and citizenship. It is a space where participants have the opportunity to meet and explore historical and social issues related to those years, in a period in which the direct testimonies of those terrible events are beginning to disappear.

The most important and intense stage of the project is the trip to Krakow which will presumably take place on 9/14 March 2023. The central moments are represented by the visit to the Oscar Schindler Factory museum, the guided tour of the district and the former Jewish ghetto of Krakow, and the one to the concentration and extermination camps of Auschwitz-Birkenau, to which an entire day is dedicated.

Only young people between the ages of 18 and 25 who live in the Municipality of Porto Torres and who undertake to be present in all phases of the project, including post-trip training and subsequent returns, can participate in the project. automatic exclusion, moreover they will have to contribute with a non-refundable fee of 100 euros which must be paid upon acceptance of the selection for participation.
