One of the key figures in the historic treble of the Super Cup, Coppa Italia, and Scudetto returns to Sassari: Dinamo has signed Jeff Brooks, a 38-year-old, 203cm tall winger from Trieste. In the 2014/15 season, Brooks played as an American, but is now on the Italian roster thanks to his marriage to Benedetta in 2017.
Brooks said: “Returning to play for Sassari is an extraordinary feeling, a feeling that combines joy and gratitude. Joy because I'm returning to a place that welcomed me when I was still a young player and that I'm returning to today after a journey of growth that has allowed me to mature not only as an athlete, but also as a man and a father. What we've built together in the past is something special, and it makes me proud to know that the club has chosen me for its future. I can't wait to get back on the pitch and begin this new adventure. My personal goals always align with those of the team. I want to be the best version of myself possible, both in terms of performance and leadership, through energy, example, and daily attitude.”
After leaving Sassari, Brooks played in Malaga (he won the 2017 Eurocup), Milan (two Italian Super Cups and one Italian Cup), Venice and for the last three seasons in Trieste.
