Color , creativity , joy, but above all a great tribute to one of the most important cultural centers of the city : it is "Je Mem" , Bob Marongiu 's solo show literally born, day after day, in the premises of the Mediateca del Mediterraneo in via Mameli in Cagliari and now open until August 31st.

The exhibition, promoted by the municipal councilorship for Culture, Sport and Entertainment, was presented by the artist and councilor Maria Dolores Picciau .

In the 27 canvases conceived and created and now on display on the first floor of the Mem a suggestive reference to the myth, as Bob Marongiu himself explains: "I let myself be absorbed by the atmosphere that reigns in this beautiful structure, a place of refreshment where the brain can find oxygen and inspiration. Reading the biographies of many great artists and the importance they gave to improvisation as the maximum moment of creativity pushed me to exercise my imagination on the large circular red stickers that signal the presence of the walls. glasses, an omnipresent element in the Mem. These balls have become worlds of color at the center of each canvas, supported by animals that, even if burdened by the weight of a world like the mythical Atlas , do not lose their smile and the desire to be happy " .

"This is why the exhibition is called Je Mem - continues the artist -: an act of love towards the Mediateca and beyond, thanks to the assonance with the French 'je m'aime'".

"An exhibition born in situ - the words of Councilor Picciau - from the inspiration that the artist drew daily for almost a month from the spaces of the Mediateca, from its colors, from the people who work there and from its users. 'Je Mem 'was born as a tribute to the profound value of this structure , which in a few years became central to the cultural life of the city and its inhabitants, but at the same time it is also an affirmation of the need to always seek happiness, as shown by the attention of the artist in the use of colors and the reinterpretation of the myth of Atlas holding the world on his shoulders ".
