The ninth edition of JazzAlguer returns. On Friday, June 13th, at 7:00 PM, the Sella&Mosca Estates will host a concert by Sardinian saxophonist Laura J. Marras, the star of the sixth event of the festival with her project "Serenity," a refined tribute to the great jazz saxophonist and composer Joe Henderson.

The show's title recalls one of the American musician's most famous pieces and captures the essence of a project that goes beyond a simple homage. Laura J. Marras will offer a personal reinterpretation of Henderson's repertoire, exploring the balance between compositional rigor and improvisational freedom. A musical journey spanning the various phases of the celebrated tenor saxophonist's career, from the classics of the Blue Note era to his more mature experiments, highlighting his harmonic complexity and melodic richness.

With elegant phrasing and a contemporary sound, the Sardinian artist offers a performance that combines respect for tradition with a modern vision, reflecting the relevance of Henderson's language and his influence on the history of jazz. The festival's artistic direction is entrusted to Massimo Russino.
