Daughter of US President Donald Trump and wife of financier Jared Kushner, Ivanka chose the Costa Smeralda for a short stay. It coincided with the arrival in Sardinia of Boardwalk, the $450 million superyacht of US Ambassador Tilman Fertitta. According to rumors, Ivanka Trump has already planned her stay in Gallura, including a series of excursions to the La Maddalena Archipelago and evening outings in Porto Cervo. Several inspections have been conducted inside and around the Langosteria restaurant, on Porto Cervo's old pier. Nothing is leaking from the Costa Smeralda about Ivanka's movements, for obvious security reasons.

Stop the yachts

The US president's daughter is on the list of international figures requiring special protection. For this reason, particularly stringent measures have been adopted. The closure of the port, for example. When Ivanka Trump is in Costa Smeralda, no boats will be allowed to dock in Porto Cervo. The Trumps on the Island

According to rumors, other members of the US president's family have also chosen Sardinia for short summer getaways. In recent weeks, one of the tycoon's sons, Donald John Trump Jr., reportedly arrived in Olbia before heading to a villa on the Costa Smeralda. There's talk of an evening spent at a luxury residence and a (private) concert by Paris Hilton. Indeed, in early August, Paris Hilton's customized Gulfstream G450, nicknamed "Sliv Air," with pink accents, was spotted at the Olbia airport.

VIPs in droves

Yesterday, no one confirmed, nor denied, Donald John Trump Jr.'s presence. What is certain, however, is that special security measures have been implemented in recent weeks for the arrival in Olbia of a member of the US president's family. Actors, billionaires, and international politicians are flocking to Gallura. Olbia Airport's General Aviation, the private jet sector, with the season still underway, has seen a ten percent increase in movements compared to 2025. Among the celebrities who have passed through the luxurious Eccelsa terminal are, to name a few, Orlando Bloom, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Michael Jordan.
