Ivana Spagna is the chosen queen to open the curtain on "Disco Italia Live" Iglesias. An icon of '80s and '90s dance music, the singer of global hits and her unmistakable blonde hair, the artist will take the stage in Piazza Sella this evening, starting at 10:00 PM, to inaugurate the free music festival that will liven up the heart of the mining town until Tuesday, July 22nd.

Also on the program are two leading names in Italian music: Nek, expected on the 21st, and Marco Masini the following day. But the spotlight first falls on her, as an Italian ambassador for pop music beyond national borders.

A career that spans genres and decades without ever losing its recognizability. Reinventing herself without losing her identity: this is the paradox that Ivana Spagna has effortlessly resolved. "I don't know if there's really a secret," she confesses, "but I think the most important thing is to be spontaneous in what you do. Follow your heart, your passion. Then time will tell you the answer."

Time spoke quickly and clearly for her: her international success in the dance music of the '80s and '90s established her as one of the most iconic voices in European pop . Even today, those songs continue to echo in clubs and on playlists.
