Sardinian Barbara Dessolis, representing Tc Cagliari, stopped in the decisive round of the women's qualifications of the first of the six Itf Combined tournaments (300 thousand euros in total prize money) underway on the clay courts of Santa Margherita di Pula. Defeated 6-4, 6-3 by German Lara Schmidt, Dessolis failed to gain access to the main draw.
In the first of six weeks of tournament competitions organized by Forte Village Sports Academy with the support of the Regional Department of Tourism, Crafts and Commerce, the first verdicts also in the men's draw. The first seven of the seeds advance, one seed eliminated, the British George Loffhagen, who retired on the result of a set all against Niccolò Catini. Also out is the Torresino Matteo Mura, defeated 6-2, 6-0 by the number two of the seed, Andrea Picchione.
