The 25-year-old Italian man who was hit in the abdomen by a gunshot fired in the street last night in Arcisate (Varese) was transported to hospital under code red.

The police also intervened on site and started investigations to trace the attacker and the motive.

The young man's cell phone is being examined and, at the moment, it is not able to be listened to by the investigators. As far as we know, he is in serious but not life-threatening condition.
