Two of the three workers who died yesterday in Naples when a freight elevator overturned were working illegally .
This is what emerges from the investigation by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office into yesterday's tragedy. Another aspect of the investigation concerns compliance with safety regulations: it appears that the workers were not wearing helmets and were not wearing seatbelts that would have prevented them from falling .
Four people are under investigation : the condominium administrator, the safety coordinator, the owner of the company the workers worked for, and the owner of the company that rented the broken vertical lift to the company.
The investigation is based on multiple manslaughter . It is important to note that this is a necessary step pending the autopsy of the victims' bodies.
The victims were all residents of Naples and its province: Ciro Pierro, 62, from Calvizzano; Luigi Romano, 67, from Arzano; and Vincenzo del Grosso, 54, from Naples .
