A woman killed her disabled daughter and then hanged herself in Corleone. The family tragedy unfolded in the town's historic center.

The Carabinieri, who are conducting the investigation, and the 118 paramedics intervened. The woman, they say in town, had lost her husband eight months ago, a former nurse at the Bianchi hospital. A man whom many in Corleone still remember for his kindness.

The woman found herself alone to care for her disabled daughter. And she couldn't do it.
