As reported by La Repubblica, the abuse dates back to February and March 2025, and the investigation , conducted by the Rome Prosecutor's Office, led to the two being convicted under a fast-track trial : they will serve ten years in prison for child abuse and child pornography.
Last spring , the woman's colleagues had noticed changes in her behavior, as well as visible signs on her body (such as bruises on her arms) . After speaking with her ex-husband , he decided to file a complaint , and the prosecutor's office opened a case against the businessman for mistreatment. The lover's phone was seized: no trace of domestic violence was found, but videos of the boy being abused by his mother emerged from the cell phone.
"We will appeal. It's a painful case that perhaps hasn't been properly interpreted from a psychoanalytic perspective," Renato Archidiacono, the woman's defense attorney, said on the sidelines of the hearing. "Compared to the sixteen years requested by the prosecutor, the sentence has been reduced to ten. We can be satisfied with this, but the matter remains serious," emphasized criminal lawyer Carmela Massaro, the entrepreneur's lawyer.
