To discover who killed Sharon Verzeni , stabbed in the street in Terno d'Isola , in the province of Bergamo, after midnight on July 30, investigators are also relying on scientific tests and biological traces .
And so, while the RIS of Parma is analyzing the clothes worn by the thirty-three-year-old and the traces found on her body, the investigators have begun to profile the DNA of several inhabitants of the Bergamo town , in particular those who live in via Castegnate, where the crime took place .
"They did a DNA test on my wife and I also took it when they asked me to," one of the residents told Eco di Bergamo. "We went to the barracks for the test. No problem, we have nothing to hide. In fact, these checks are very welcome."
To date, no one has seen Sharon's killer run away , even though the first witnesses arrived shortly after the attack that Sharon herself reported by calling 112, before collapsing. And he was not even filmed running away by the cameras in the area. One hypothesis under consideration could therefore be that the person lives nearby .
However, investigations into Sharon's telephone traffic before the attack are continuing and DNA profiling will continue in the coming days , a procedure that cannot fail to bring to mind the case of Yara Gambirasio, the thirteen-year-old who disappeared in November 2010 and was found dead three months later in a field in Chignolo d'Isola (just three kilometers from Terno): a case for which over 22 thousand DNA profiles were profiled to identify her murderer.
