The weekly incidence of coronavirus infections continues to increase at national level: now it is at 98 per 100 thousand inhabitants (in the week between 12 and 18 November) against 78 per 100 thousand inhabitants last week (from 5 to 11 November) .

In the period 27 October - 9 November, the mean Rt calculated on symptomatic cases was instead equal to 1.21 (range 1.14 - 1.26), stable compared to the previous week and above the epidemic threshold.

These are the data highlighted by the control room in the usual monitoring based on the numbers communicated by the higher health institute. It is also worth noting the increase in the employment rate in intensive care, which is fixed at 5.3% against 4.4%. The employment rate in medical areas nationwide rises to 7.1% against 6.1%. However, employment levels remain below the threshold level.

All 21 Regions and Autonomous Provinces are classified as moderate risk this week.

SARDINIA - As regards the weekly incidence, the Island with 40.8 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants - an increase of 8 points but always below the threshold of 50 cases - records one of the lowest figures in Italy (they do better only Basilicata and Puglia). The percentage of hospitalizations of Covid patients in the medical area is 2.6%, in intensive care it is 4.9%; both data well below the critical threshold.
