«Because there are those who like their wife raw and those who like it cooked» .
The shocking message, which appeared on the Corriere's Instagram page, is addressed to Valentina Pitzalis and is the work of former FI senator Vincenzo D'Anna , now president of the Federation of Regional Orders of Biologists.
Corriere della Sera reports this. The comment appeared under a post about the testimony of Valentina Pitzalis, who spoke last Friday before over 2,000 students from Milan and the surrounding province at the Arcimboldi.
Valentina Pitzalis's story is well-known, both in Sardinia and beyond. The 42-year-old survived the 2011 attempted femicide by Manuel Piredda, her husband, who died in the fire he himself had set to kill her in Bacu Abis, Carbonia . She survived, but her face is disfigured and her body bears indelible marks. One hand was amputated, the other severely damaged.
Valentina was also investigated for allegedly orchestrating a plot to kill her husband, following a complaint from Manuel's mother's lawyers. However, the case was dismissed.
