Two hunters die from electrocution while attempting to retrieve a decoy bird from an electrical wire.

Tragedy in Magione , in the province of Perugia, where two young hunters were electrocuted by medium voltage cables.
It happened late yesterday evening, around 11:30 PM, when a team from the Perugia fire department responded to the La Goga area. According to an initial reconstruction of events, the firefighters themselves reported, the two men were attempting to retrieve a decoy bird perched on medium-voltage (20,000 volt) power lines , located about 10 meters above the ground. Using a metal pole, they allegedly struck the wires and were electrocuted.
Two 118 crews promptly arrived on site and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, unfortunately without success , ultimately declaring the two hunters dead.
Firefighters recovered the bodies, which were lying in an area inaccessible to normal rescue vehicles.
The Carabinieri were also at the scene of the accident, carrying out the necessary investigations to clarify the exact dynamics of the incident.
