Two former assistants fired: "Ilaria Salis's account seized."

Not only has the order to pay approximately €300,000 to two former parliamentary collaborators, but another legal snafu has also involved Avs MEP Ilaria Salis , whose bank account, according to Il Giornale and other reports, was seized after failing to pay some legal fees.
The Milan Labor Court ordered Ilaria Salis to pay approximately €150,000 each to her now-former assistants Valentina Dadda and François Gelmetti, who had sued her for being fired without just cause in 2025. The MEP appealed the ruling, also requesting a stay of execution in two separate cases, but both cases were dismissed in August, with the MEP ordered to pay legal costs.
However, according to Il Giornale, Salis failed to pay the approximately €7,000 owed for this latest conviction, and so the lawyers for her former assistants initiated a third-party seizure of the MEP's bank account, which also includes her salary for her term in the European Parliament. The appeal hearing for the main case will take place in October.
