Fatal accident at work this morning at the protruding number 4-West side of the port of Taranto.

To lose his life a worker of a contract company, with the qualification of lasher (fixed and unlocks containers, ed), who was engaged, according to what has been learned, in handling operations of a load of wind turbines.

It is not yet clear whether a trolley overturned or a rope broke which then overwhelmed the worker.

Investigations are underway by the ASL Spesal technicians (Prevention and safety service in the workplace).

118, firefighters, police and carabinieri were also on site.
